Mary Ann DeRossett


Graveside services for Mary Ann DeRossett, 52, of Frankston, were held Monday, Aug. 31, at the DeRossett Family Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Aills officiating.


Autry Funeral Home in Frankston directed the service.


Mrs. DeRossett passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 in Frankston.


She was born Dec. 8, 1956 in Jacksonville, to Ray William Bragg and Mary Lou Weesner Bragg.


She was a homemaker.


Mrs. DeRossett is preceded in death by her parents.


Survivors include her spouse, Murphy DeRossett of Frankston; son, Tracy Nolen and step-daughter, Jesseca McDonald of Frankston; brothers, Allen Bragg of Poynor, Alvin Bragg and David Bragg of Frankston; and sister, Alice Fay Nolen of Frankston.

Lolis Robison


Funeral services for Lolis Robison, 96, of Frankston, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Assembly of God, Frankston with the Rev. J. A. Griffin and the Rev. Mike Griffin officiating.


Burial will follow at Fincastle Cemetery, Poynor.


Services are under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.


Mrs. Robison passed away Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Frankston.


She was born December 1, 1912 in Vernon, Texas to Andrew J. Lloyd and Mary Frances Bryant Lloyd.


She was a member of Assembly of God, Frankston, and was a homemaker.


Mrs. Robison is preceded in death by her husband Johnie E. Robison.


Survivors include sons, Johnie M. Robison and wife Marilyn Sue of Frankston and Milton L. Robison and wife Sue of Frankston; daughter, Mary F. Richardson and husband Jimmy of Frankston; brother-in-law Audrey Robison and wife Charlean of Frankston; seven grandchildren, Mike Robison, Donna Dean, Laura Stone, Lydia Holley, Johanna Glover, Paula Brewer and Tray Richardson; fifteen great-grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.


Pallbearers will be Mike Robison, Jimmy Dean, Bill Holley, Tray Richardson, Dennis Brewer, and Andy Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Lee Ficco, John Michael Robison, Bryant Glover, and Barry Reece.


The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.



Randy Wayne Terrell


Funeral services for Randy Wayne Terrell, age 47, of Frankston, are pending at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.


Mr. Terrell passed away August 31, 2009 in Odessa, Ukraine.

Ola Shackelford


Funeral services for Ola Shackelford, 93, of Frankston, were held Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009 at Assembly of God in Frankston with the Rev. J. A. Griffin and the Rev. G. C. Folmar officiating.


Burial followed at Frankston City Cemetery.


Services were under direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.


Mrs. Shackelford passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009 in Frankston.


She was born June 12, 1916 in Henderson, to James Robert McDaniel and Lillie Fortenberry McDaniel.


She was a member of Assembly of God, Frankston, member of the Women’s Bible Class and was a retired seamstress.


Mrs. Shackelford is preceded in death by her husband Charlie J. Shackelford in 1989 and son Kenneth Shackelford in 2000.


Survivors include her son, Milton Shackelford and wife Sandra of Elk City, Okla.; daughter, Charlene Smith and husband Farris of Frankston; daughter-in-law, Janice Shackelford of Frankston; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.


Pallbearers were Terry Smith, Kirk Shackelford, Kevin Shackelford, Mark Wagley, Delton Ulrich and William Hiser.



Randy Wayne Terrell


Funeral services for Randy Wayne Terrell, 47, of Frankston were held Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at First Assembly of God, Frankston with the Rev. J. A. Griffin and the Rev. Mike Griffin officiating.


Burial followed at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.


Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.


Mr. Terrell passed away August 31, 2009 in Odessa, Ukraine.


He was born Dec. 15, 1961 in Athens, to Rex Terrell and Linda Jones Terrell.


He was a member of First Assembly of God, Frankston and employed at ELS Surveying of Tyler for 17 years.


Mr. Terrell is preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde and Willie Terrell of LaRue, Buster Jones of Frankston, and four uncles.


Survivors include his parents, Rex and Linda Terrell of Frankston; brothers, Brad Terrell and Mark Terrell and wife Kerri, all of Frankston; nephews, Heath, Seth, and Caleb Terrell; grandmother, Lorena Jones, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Pallbearers were Tim Henderson, John Rupert, Jerry Jones, Kelly Saunders, Danny Jones, and Philip Warren.


Honorary pallbearers were employees of ELS Surveying of Tyler.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to “The Mike Jones Scholarship Fund” c/o Jerry Jones P. O. Box 146 Frankston, Texas 75763.



Evelyn May Hugon Brown


Evelyn May Hugon Brown beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend took the hand of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, Sept. 15. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at their home, Plumcover Ranch in the Griffin Community.


The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the Autry Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside will follow at the Griffin Cemetery.


Mrs. Brown was born in Athens, Texas to Dolph Lee and Jessie Hugon on June 2, 1921. She attended Frankston Schools, graduated from Texas Women’s University, Denton, Texas, and continued graduate studies at the University of Texas before marrying Edwin Brown, the love of her life and husband of 60 years.


Evelyn was known as a lovely, elegant, and talented lady, whose life was epitomized by her great faith and trust in Christ Jesus and her enduring love for her family. Her grandchildren were the joy of her life.


She was a Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville and belonged to the Mary Bible Club. Mrs. Brown was a member of Hillcreek Baptist Church in Whitehouse.


She was a teacher at East Side Elementary School, Jacksonville, owner of Troup Insurance Agency, and more recently, used her artistic talent in making beautiful silk crazy quilt creations which were enjoyed by many collectors. Her talents were only eclipsed by a humble spirit that always gave credit to the giver of her gifts.


Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her brother, D.L. Hugon. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Edwin Brown; daughter, Sally Keeney of Tyler; son, Wayne Brown and his wife Laura of Tyler; grandchildren, Wynn Brown of Fort Worth and Turner Brown of Dallas, her brother, Joe Frank Hugon Sr. of Magnolia, and many nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers are nephews Joe Frank Hugon Jr., Billy Dolph Hugon, John Hugon, Roland Brown, Alan Brown, and Marshall Brown. Honorary pallbearers are John Yarbrough, Dan Beach, Frank Jakubik, and Wayne Ellison.


The family extends heartfelt thanks to her caregivers, Nancy Hooks, Kathy Hooks, Carolyn Cheney, and Debbie Carnes.

Bernice Louise Mosley


Bernice Louise Mosley, 91, a native of Frankston, died Aug. 31, 2009, in Fort Worth.


Her funeral was on Sept. 4 at White Settlement Assembly of God with burial at Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston.


She was born Jan. 24, 1918, in Frankston to William and Lillie Robinson Bizzell.


She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin Pate; second husband, David Mosley; her parents, daughters, Nelda Yvonne Pate and Lillian Wanice Pate; and brothers, William Ray Bizzell and James Roy Bizzell.


Bernice loved sewing, knitting, quilting and ceramics along with all kinds of arts and crafts, her family said. “She will be greatly missed.”


Survivors include her son, Raymond E. Pate and wife, Betty, of Fort Worth; brother, Johnnie Bizzell of Tyler; sisters, Louise Kendrick of Clinton, Ok., and Annie B. Smith of Frankston; granddaughter, Belinda Pate and husband, Miguel Santiesteban; nephews, Wayne Smith of Frankston, Donald Kendrick of Clinton, and Danny Bizzell of Chandler; and nieces, Sherry Lott of Clinton, Barbara Brunch and Jerry Osborne of Missouri.


Arrangements were by Baumgardner Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
