Howard James Jamie Schindler II
Funeral services for Howard James Jamie Schindler II, 37, of Shiner, were held Tuesday, September 12 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus with Fr. Dan Kahlich officiating under direction of Henneke Funeral Home, Columbus. Private entombment was in the family mausoleum at
Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery.
He passed away Saturday, September 9 near Columbus in an auto accident.
He was born in Columbus on January 20, 1969 and graduated from Columbus High School in 1987, Texas A&M University in 1992 and University of Houston in 1995. He was Vice President of Lone Star Bank in Shiner.
Mr. Schindler was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard James Schindler, father-in-law Joe S. Morris and uncle Dan Prause.
Survivors include his wife Kathe Morris Schindler of Shiner; son Howard James Schindler III of Shiner; father Billy Joe Schindler of Columbus; mother Sheila Ellis Schindler of Poynor; grandmother Adell Marie Schindler of Columbus; half-sister Shanna Marie Woods of Poynor; aunt Mary Ellen Prause of Columbus; cousin Ty Prause and wife Julie of Columbus; mother-in-law Mary Ann Morris of Corpus Christi; brothers-in-law, Brian Morris of Corpus Christi, Lynn Morris & wife Kate of Austin, and Stewart Morris of Corpus Christi; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Steve Heffley, Brandon Barten, Nathan Fuchs, Scotty Kleimann, John Trapp, Rodney Meyer, David Kapavik, Brian Berger, Ed Peters, Leroy Glover, Waldo Boehm and Stuart Hastedt.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 or charity of your choice.
Funeral services for Cecile I. Gill, 91, of Frankston were held Wednesday, September 20 at the First Baptist Church, Frankston with Rev. Eddie Hilburn officiating under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston. Burial was at Old City Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Mrs. Gill passed away Thursday, September 14.
She was born September 30, 1914 in Troup. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Frankston.
Mrs. Gill was preceded in death by her husband Thomas A. Jack Gill and brother Earl Carlile.
Survivors include son Thomas A. Gill, Jr. and wife Gean of Kailua, Hawaii; daughter Jimmye Earlyne Gem Rigsby and husband William Terry Rigsby of Frankston; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Frankston, Building Fund.
Annie Belle Johnson
Funeral services for Annie Bell Johnson, 86, a long-time resident of Texas City and Dickinson were held Thursday, September 21 at 10 a.m. at Midway Baptist Church, Palestine with Rev. James Johnston officiating under direction of Crowder Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial was at Midway Baptist Cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson passed away Sunday, September 17.
She was born March 3, 1920 in Palestine to Ulice and Alice Hilton. She was a homemaker and member of Midway Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Birvin B.B. Johnson; her parents and a sister Minnie Lee Little of Santa Fe, Texas.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Phyllis and James Stavinoha of Bay City; sons and daughters-in-law Cleo and Chris Johnson of Destin, Florida, Donald and Patricia Johnson of Santa Fe, Texas, Harold and Anna Johnson of Friendswood, and Jerry and Stacy Johnson of Missouri City; sister Etta Bell of Goodrich; grandchildren Connie Seegers, Sheri Griffith, Mike Johnson, Russell Johnson, Lisa Ortiz, Brandy French, Keli Johnson and Jaree Johnson; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Kathy Marie Pruitt
Funeral services for Kathy Marie Pruitt, 53, of Frankston were held Tuesday, September 19 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ron Thomas officiating under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
Mrs. Pruitt passed away Friday, September 15.
She was born March 21, 1953 in Dallas. She was a homemaker and a member of All Nations Community Church, Berryville.
Survivors include husband Allen Pruitt of Frankston; sons Timothy Ray Noble of Euless and Aaron James Anders of Houston; daughters Lori Diane Noble and Cierra Ann Harris, both of Frankston; mother Patricia Wallace of Frankston; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Burdetta Bertie Witt, 85, of Berryville were held Tuesday, September 26 at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, Frankston with Rev. George Folmar officiating under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston. Burial was in Garden Oaks Cemetery, Berryville.
Mrs. Witt passed away Sunday, September 24.
She was born July 20, 1917 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of Hilltop Baptist Church.
Mrs. Witt was preceded in death by daughters Patricia Ann Chanate and Kitten Stevens, two grandsons and one greatgrandson.
Survivors include son John Warsham of Corpus Christi; daughters Ruby Waldrum, Amanda Witt, both of Berryville, and Francine Barksdale of Osage, Arkansas; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Lee Green, John Webb, Timothy Webb, Joshua Green, Seth Green and Randy Waldrum.
