Wendy Perry
A funeral service for Wendy Moira (Darling) Perry, 85, of Frankston, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Frankston with Rev. Scott Wiley officiating.
Visitation will begin one hour before the service. She will be laid to rest at Frankston City Cemetery. Autry Funeral Home of Frankston is in charge of arrangements.
Wendy Moira Darling Perry joined her Heavenly Father on Feb. 4, 2025. Wendy was born on April 21, 1939, in Galveston. She was proud to be Born on the Island (BOI). She grew up in Texas City with her father Phillip Darling, mother Isadora Casas Darling and beloved older sister Gertrude (Trudy) Darling.
From her father, she inherited a talent for and love of music, all types. From her mother, she inherited a love of Mexican culture and people.
She graduated from Texas City High School in 1957. From an early age, she was a skilled musician, excelling at the piano.
In 1957, she went to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. At SFA, she met and fell in love with Sant (Sonny) Miller Perry Jr. They married on Aug. 30, 1959, and were devoted husband and wife for 65 years and six months.
Wendy graduated from SFA in 1961. She then embarked on a 31-year teaching career, teaching English in Tenaha, Broaddus, Seguin, Brownsboro, and finally and most importantly, Frankston. She received a Master’s Degree in Education in 1979 from the University of Texas-Tyler.
Wendy was inducted into the Frankston Independent School District Wall of Honor in 2024.
Wendy played piano her entire life and she loved all kinds of music. She played the piano at First Baptist Church Frankston for 19 years. She also played the piano at numerous graduations, weddings, and funerals.
Wendy is survived by her soulmate Sonny Perry; daughter Patti Perry Worlow and son-in-law Gary Worlow; son Stan Perry and daughter-in-law Stacy Smith Perry. She is also survived by her grandchildren Aubrey Worlow Cashner and husband Adam Cashner, Anna Perry, and John Perry and wife Lindsey Jenkins Perry. She is further survived by her great-granddaughters Loral Cashner and Lachlyn Cashner. She is also survived by her sister Trudy Darling; niece, Jennifer Parker; and nephews Jay Lewis and Vince Murchison.
Wendy was preceded in death by her parents and her very special niece, Linda Murchison.
Pallbearers are Billy (Dude) Bacon, Britt Bacon, Bryson Bacon, Bayne Bacon, Brenson Bacon, Vince Murchison, Jay Lewis, Jesse Smith Jr. and Johnny Burks.
Honorary pallbearers are Becca Bacon, Jennifer Parker, Adam Cashner, Rivers Smith, Tony Talbert, J.B. Harrington, Tom Spears, and all former students.
A special thanks to Wendy’s former students who enriched her life in countless ways. Further special thanks to the men and women at Bluebonnet Point Wellness and Heart to Heart Hospice.

Frank Matthew Countryman
Frank Matthew Countryman, age 56, of Carthage, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, in Tyler. He was born on July 17, 1968, to parents Jesse Jody Countryman and Brenda Kaye Bynum.
He was a brother of Joey Maxwell of Frankston.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home, officiated by Wesley Reynolds. Burial will follow at Land of Memory Cemetery in Palestine. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, 2025, at Herrington / Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Frank had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite outdoor activities and he delighted to bring the grandchildren along. As a father, grandpa, and son, Frank was exceptional and loved his family very much. He enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson. His relationship with his sister Helen was unparalleled. Frank will be deeply missed by many family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Maxwell; brother, Jesse Countryman III; and brother, Eddie Sexton.
Survivors include his mother Brenda Lee and husband Michael Orsac; dad Jesse Countryman and wife Phyllis; sons Colton Countryman and wife Sarah, and Caden Countryman and wife Crystal; daughters Adalynn Countryman, and Kaylynn Countryman; brothers, Donnie Maxwell and wife Kay, Joey Maxwell and wife Ann of Frankston, and Kelly Maxwell and wife Cheryl; sisters Hellen Dunlap and husband David Brian, Vickie Wesley and husband James, Debbie and husband Floyd and Lori Sexton; and seven grandchildren Levi, Conner, Penelope, Haisley, Brynlee, Brylee, and Kutter.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Jimmy Pate Jr., Otis Wilson Jr., Weldon Hodge Jr., Jerry Hodge Jr., Jesse Hodge, and Frank Countryman. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Lee Hodge, Terry Countryman, Larry Countryman, and James Lee Hodge.

Deborah Jeane Rowden
Funeral services for Deborah Rowden are set for Friday, March 7, 2025 at Hilltop Baptist Church, 11269 CR 4117, Frankston, at 11 a.m. Fellowship and food to follow.
Deborah was born on Saturday, Oct. 2, 1948, in Bossier City, LA, to the parents Vernon D. Rowden and Vernon Louise Birmingham-Grimmett and passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, in Flint.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, pets and especially spending time with Jesus in study and prayer.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vernon D. and Vernon “Lou” Birmingham-Grimmett Rowden and her sister, Donna Gayle Sides.
Left to cherish Deborah’s memory are her beloved daughter Leslie Jordan and loving husband Ty Green; her siblings Michael Rowden and Jerry Rowden, along with near and dear nieces, nephews and grandchildren Jonathan, Noah, Spencer, Isobel, and Willow.
Jackie Hughes
A funeral service for Jacqueline Gail Casey Hughes, 60, of Frankston, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston with husband, Allen Hughes officiating.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24, 2025, at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Frankston City Cemetery.
Jackie was born on March 10, 1964, in Staten Island, New York, to John Russell and Patricia Ann Casey, and passed away on Feb. 21, 2025, in Tyler.
Jackie was known for her unwavering Christian faith and her deep love for people. Her family was the most important thing in her life, and she was a devoted and loving wife, supporting her husband through thick and thin.
Jackie had a profound love for animals, especially horses. She was passionate about barrel racing and spent countless hours teaching kids to love and care for horses, instilling her love and life experience of western culture to the next generation. Her gentle spirit and caring nature touched the lives of many, both human and animal.
Jackie will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
Jackie was preceded in death by her father, John “Jack” Casey and brother, John Timothy “J.T.” Casey.
Left to cherish her memory are her mother, Patricia Casey of Coppell; husband Allen Ray Hughes of Frankston; children Billy Hughes of Bryan, and Tobby Hughes and wife Niki, of Lorena; sisters, Clare Casey of New York, Lorraine Casey of Grapevine, and Annemarie Casey Mims and husband Jerry of Ft. Worth; grandchildren Valerie and husband Aaron Rawls, Dallas Hughes, Shane Hughes, Cooper Hughes and RayAnn Hughes; two great-grandsons; and other extended family.
Pallbearers will be Tobby Hughes, Dallas Hughes, Shane Hughes, Bryan Dupont, Garrett Dupont, Jackson Dupont, and Honorary Pallbearer Cooper Hughes.

Louis D. Fields
A celebration of life for Mr. Louis D. Fields, 74, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Frankston High School Auditorium. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery in Antioch under direction of John R. Harmon Undertaking Co. in Tyler.
Mr. Fields was born Aug. 31, 1950 and passed away on Feb. 20, 2025.
Public viewing will be Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert Magee
A funeral service for Robert Magee, 82, of Poynor, is scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, March 3, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Poynor with Bro. George Folmar officiating. Visitation will begin one hour before the service.
He will be laid to rest at Poynor Cemetery. Services are provided by Autry Funeral Home , Frankston.
Robert was born on Nov. 20, 1942, in Blackfoot, to Robert Nathan and Charlene (Rhodes) Magee and passed away on Feb. 26, 2025 in Tyler.
Robert was known for his unparalleled work ethic and dedication. He was celebrated as the best welder in the area, with a reputation for impeccable skill and craftsmanship. His commitment extended beyond his professional life, as he was a proud Mason for over 60 years.
Robert's joyous spirit was infectious; he was a joker, and all who had the pleasure of meeting him couldn’t help but be drawn to his warmth and humor. He enjoyed watching basketball and spending time with his grandkids, who affectionately called him “Fibber”.
Robert was a devoted member of First Baptist Church, Poynor, where he found fellowship and faith.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Irene, who stood by his side through life’s journey. He is also survived by his children Tammie Walker and husband Shayne of LaRue, Misty Grayson and husband Buzzy of Oklahoma, and son Ricky Reynolds and wife Cindy of Louisiana; sister Rebecca Glenn of Bullard; nine grandchildren Bo Walker and wife Brandi, Emily Williams and husband Taylor, Hunter Welch, Dillon Reynolds, Kelsey Reynolds, Connor Welch, Vance Walker, Carson Wheeler and Bryce Wheeler; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Machelle Welch, two sisters and a brother.
Pallbearers will be Vance Walker, Carson Wheeler, Bryce Wheeler, Connor Welch, Hunter Welch, Bo Walker, and Dillon Reynolds.
Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Morton and Gary Almon.
