Obituaries for Dec. 2, 2010


Mary Black

Funeral services for Mary Black, 63, of Frankston, were held Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Frankston with the Rev. George Folmar officiating.

Burial was held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas on Monday, Nov. 29, 2010.

Mrs. Black passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, in Dallas.

She was born August 9, 1947 in Houston.

Mrs. Black was a member of First Baptist Church, Frankston and was a secretary for Robert Dickerson Insurance Agency in Frankston.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lue Vernie McGinnis; sister, Carolyn Myers; and father, Thomas McGinnis.

Survivors include her husband Ron Black of Frankston; daughter, Mary Katherine Lamb of Garland; son, Ron Black Jr. of Madisonville; daughters, Elizabeth Ann McCaig of New Braunfels and Lorrie Calton of Allen; son, Eric Black of Washington D.C.; sister, Dorothy Jo Pierce of Wisconsin; ten grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Derek Merritt, Frank Harrison, Robert Dickerson, Bryan Calton, Travis Calton, Steve Lamb, Steve Beard, Larry House, Nick Nichols and Charles Bartlett.


David Moseley

Services for David Moseley , 49, of Cleburne, Texas, formerly of Canton were held Friday November 26, 2010, at Eubank Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Golden officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home in Canton.

Burial was held in Haven of Memories in Canton.

He passed away November 23, 2010 in Dallas.

David Moseley was born February 10, 1961, in Brush, Colorado, to Billy R. Moseley and Joan Davidson Moseley.

He graduated from Frankston High School. After high school he earned his living as a pipeline welder and in 2008 established his own business. He was owner and operator of WDM Underground Technology.

David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leland and Nancy Davidson and William and Floy Moseley.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy Moseley of Cleburne; daughter, Nancy Moseley of Sapulpa, Okla; sons, Jesse Carreon of Canton and Joey Carreon of Cleburne; father, Billy R. Moseley of Frankston; mother, Joan Moseley of Frankston; sister, Jackie Brady of Ben Wheeler; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winford and Virginia Sides of Canton; nephew, Jon and Pam Perez of Tyler; great-nephew, Jon William Perez of Tyler.

Pallbearers were Lee Dickerson, Dan Lade, Kenny Williamson, Ray McFarland, Jeremy Lewis and Jay Boles

Norene Elizabeth Huber

A memorial service for Norene Elizabeth Huber, 90, of Arlington, Texas and formerly of Frankston, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Old Bethel Cemetery near Frankston.

Tom Hightower will be the officiant for the service.

Ms. Huber passed away Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, in Arlington, Texas.

She was born Nov. 14, 1919, in Bullard to Levi Ellis and Zeliah Cole Ellis.

Ms. Huber was a Baptist and retired.

She is preceded in death by her son, Eddie Ellis; parents, Levi and Zeliah Ellis; sisters, Marie Thomas and Veda Harvey; brothers, Frank Ellis, Joe Ellis and Kenneth Ellis.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Max and Deborah Ellis of Arlington and sisters, Darlene Norberg of Flint, Dorothy Hunter of California and grandchildren.


Mary Frances Englert

Graveside services for Mary Frances Englert, 83, of Frankston, were held Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Frankston City Cemetery with Theo Johnson officiating.

Services were under the direction of Autry Funeral Home in Frankston.

Mary Frances Englert went to be with the Lord on Nov. 22, 2010, peacefully in her home at Lake Palestine.

She was born Mary Frances Blythe on March 23, 1927 to Bennie Allison and Grady Blyte in Hamlin, Texas.

She worked for Plaines Machinery in Abilene for 20 years, also worked in the Abilene area for Kendrick Oil and M & M Bodyworks before retiring at the age of 78.

Neenie, as all fondly call her, had four children Randy Holcomb of Ft. Worth, Jana Holcomb Jenkins and husband Paul of Palestine, Ricky Holcomb of Abilene, Lowell Bailey and wife Gayla of Abilene and children in law that were like her own, Brenda and Chuck Hudson.

Neenie leaves behind nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bennie and Sam Calhoun and husband Gene Englert. Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons.

Michael Herring

Funeral services for Michael Herring, 34, of Frankston, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Frankston.

The Rev. George Folmar and the Rev. Raymond Graham will officiate.

Burial will be held at the Frankston City Cemetery.

Mr. Herring died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2010 in Jacksonville.

He was born Aug. 26, 1976, in Galveston, and was a resident of Frankston. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Herring was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Nina Ainsworth and Henry Herring; uncle, Milton Herring; and cousin Bo Tucker.

He is survived by sons, Michael Wayne Herring, and Ashton James Herring, both of Frankston; father, Gary Herring of Frankston; mother, Vicky Lusk, of Frankston; grandmother, Connie Herring of Baycliff; sisters, Jennifer Melton of Corsicana, Kara Herring of Frankston, Kimmerly Herring of Frankston; brothers, Tim Christensen, of Ocala, Fla. and Kevin Herring, of Frankston. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Herring, Calvin Schoppe, Steven Loebig, Wayne Loebig, Sherry Tucker, and Jim Bo Wooten.

Honorary Pallbearers are Chris Moog, Doug Ainsworth, Frank Tucker, Jim Tucker, Mike Schoppe, and Rick McClure.

Family was to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at the funeral home in Frankston.
