Elsie Pagitt Douglas
Funeral services for Elsie Pagitt Douglas, 88, of Poynor were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 8 at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Jeff Godwin and Bro. James Farmer officiating.
Burial was in the Poynor Cemetery under direction of Thompson Funeral Home.
Mrs. Douglas died Tuesday, Oct. 8, in a Frankston nursing home.
She was born June 8, 1911 in Poynor.
She was a homemaker and had lived in Poynor most of her life. She was a member of the LaPoynor Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Carolyn Douglas and Benny and Donna Douglas, all of Poynor; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Gloria Lenardson
Graveside services for Gloria Lenardson, 54, Berryville, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Duncan Cemetery, Henderson under direction of Crawford-A Crim Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lenardson died Sunday, Oct. 3.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Lenardson, Frankston; daughters, Misty Farris and Rhonda McDonald; mother, Bessie Reed; and sisters, Lanelle Farris and Paula Key.

Eloise Jones Perry
Graveside services for Eloise Jones Perry, 80, of Frankston were held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Frankston City Cemetery with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Frankston.
Mrs. Perry died Sunday, Oct. 10, in a Tyler hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 13, 1918 in Neches, daughter of Homer W. Jones and Clara Carroll Jones.
Mrs. Perry was the widow of Ray Spencer Perry, who died in May 1985. They were residents of Houston from April 1942 until moving, in semi-retirement, to Frankston in December 1978.
Mrs. Perry volunteered her time as a "candy striper" at the old Houston Baptist Hospital. Mr. Perry was the son of long time Frankston Mayor, Ray Perry, who died in 1978.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Frankston.
Survivors include three sons, Jack Frank Perry and Ray Spencer Perry Jr., both of Frankston, and John Carroll Perry of Houston; a daughter-in-law, Kristen Perry of Houston; two sisters, Marrianne Crowe and Janice Mann, both of Houston; four grandsons, Ray Spencer Perry III of Alaska, Rudy Ray Perry of Tyler, Clark Perry and Michael Perry, both of Austin; and her personal attendant and family friend, Geneva Kincade of Jacksonville.
Ermon Wayne Keno
Graveside services for Ermon Wayne Keno, 68, of Frankston were held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the Liberty Hill Cemetery in Frankston with the Rev. Charles Grasty officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine.
Mr. Keno was born Aug. 21, 1931 in Wister, OK.
He died Sunday night, Oct. 10, in Magnolia.
Mr. Keno served in the Korean Conflict as a First Class Airman in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Neches and DAV #63.
Mr. Keno was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Borum Keno, in 1991.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Stockton of Houston, Denise Turpin of Tomball and Dianna Hall of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two sisters, Alma Stacy of Spring, and Esther Keno of Memorial; two brothers, Al Keno of Courtside, AZ and Frank Keno of Frankston; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
John Goodin
LARUE - John David "Pappa" Goodin, 65, of LaRue died Saturday, Oct. 9, in an Athens hospital.
Arrangements are under direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home, Athens.
Mr. Goodin was born March 30, 1934, in Idabel, Oklahoma.
He served in the Marine Corps and later received two master's degrees from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and East Texas State University.
Mr. Goodin retired after 32 years as an educator and administrator in the education field.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Goodin, LaRue; children, Monte Womack, Brenda Wolfe, Tony Womack, Yolanda Runnels and Charlie John Goodin; sisters, Delora Kirby, Glynda Dodd and Martha Jordan; brother, Wayne Goodin; and 11 grandchildren.
Kevin D. Loden
LARUE - Funeral services for Kevin Dewayne Loden, 16, of LaRue, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, at First Baptist Church, Athens, with the Rev. Phil Greenawalt officiating.
Burial was in Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Foster & Brown Funeral Home, Athens.
Mr. Loden died Sunday, Oct. 10, in Athens.
He was born April 4, 1983 in Dallas.
He attended Athens High School, was an honor student, a Baptist and member of the Athens High School varsity football team.
Survivors include parents, Lavita Lynn and Durrell L. Hopkins, LaRue; brother, Troy Hopkins, LaRue; sister, Latasha Hopkins, LaRue; grandparents, Sam and Dorothy Nichols, Deport, and Nancy Loden, Amarillo.
Pallbearers were members of the Athens High School football team.
Honorary pallbearers were Shane Rhea, Michael Owens and Thomas Salzar.

David F. Handley Sr.
JACKSONVILLE - Funeral services for David F. Handley Sr., 70, of Jacksonville were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at LaPoynor Church of Christ with Johnny Anders and Charles Collett officiating.
Burial was in the Reese Cemetery, under direction of Thompson Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
Mr. Handley died Tuesday, Oct. 19.
He was born Jan. 25, 1929, in Cherokee County and lived in Jacksonville most of his life.
Mr. Handley retired as a major from the Air Force, was former owner of Frankston Auto Parts, Frankston, and a member of LaPoynor Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Handley Jr., in May 1999.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Handley, Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Carrie Handley of LaRue; his mother, Ollie Handley of Reese; four sisters, Nora Myrick, Nadine Ingram and Barbara Detwiler, all of Reese, and Mary Lee and her husband, Robert Lee, of Bonham; three grandchildren, Rachel, Rebecca and Aaron Handley of LaRue; and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were elders and deacons of LaPoynor Church of Christ. Honorary pallbearers were nephews.

Sally A. Mobley
Funeral services for Sally A. Mobley, 94, of Van, formerly of Grand Prairie, were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, at Tyler Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Hodson officiating.
Graveside service was at 4 p.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Mobley died Tuesday, Oct. 12, in a Tyler hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1905 in Jumbo, Okla.
Mrs. Mobley was a retired insurance salesman and a member of First Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Mobley; a daughter, Ruth Mobley; a sister, Lillie West; a grandson, Richard Lloyd; and a great-grandson, Brendon Bales.
Survivors include four sons, Robert Mobley of Canton, James Mobley of Lucedale, Miss.; Bill Mobley of Frankston and Frank Mobley of Arlington; a daughter, Mary Ann Lloyd of Southlake; 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren;
Pallbearers were Bill Mobley, Gary Mobley, Danny Mobley, Greg Lloyd, Robert Mobley, Brian Mobley and John Mobley.

Sandra M. (Sandy) Landy
Memorial services for Sandra Marlene (Sandy) Landy, 58, of Frankston were held Sunday, Oct. 31 at 2 p.m. at her residence south of Frankston on FM 19 with pastor Larry Duffy officiating.
Advantage Mortuary Services of Tyler was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Landy died Oct. 24, 1999 at her residence following a long illness.
She was born Aug. 15, 1941 in McGrath, Alberta, Canada. She had lived in Frankston for seven years.
Mrs. Landy was affliliated with the Seventh Day Adventist Church. With her husband, she owned and operated East Tex Trash Service of Frankston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Steven Landy.
Survivors include her husband Varge Landy of Frankston, son, Todd Landy of Payne Springs and daughter, Jodi Brauer of Frankston and a brother, Durant James of Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada and three grandchildren.
